Disclosure & ethics

How we make money, and the rules we follow

No fine-print games. This page explains exactly how DollarFerry is funded, how sponsored links work, and the lines we won’t cross — including with our partner OKX.

How we’re funded

DollarFerry is free to read and reader-supported. We earn affiliate commissions when readers sign up to certain services through our links. That’s our only revenue from these recommendations — we don’t sell your data, and we don’t run intrusive ads.

How sponsored links are labelled

Anything that can earn us a commission is marked “Sponsored · affiliate” on the card itself, and the outbound links are tagged so search engines treat them as ads that pass no ranking credit. Affiliate clicks go through a small redirect page on our own site first, and that page is kept out of search results. If a recommendation isn’t labelled sponsored, we don’t earn from it.

Our OKX relationship

OKX is an affiliate partner. We mention it for one specific job — turning local money into a digital dollar (a “stablecoin” such as USDT) to fund a crypto-backed card — and only where the service is available and local rules allow it. Here’s the deal we hold ourselves to:

  • It’s presented as one real option, not the only one. We show direct bank/debit funding first wherever it’s available.
  • We show real pros and cons, the fees (a small cut on the exchange, plus a transfer fee), and the ID-check requirement — not just the upside.
  • We geo-gate it. On content aimed at markets where availability or local rules are not clear enough (for example our Pakistan page), we don’t promote it at all — no card, no link, and the footer slot is removed.
  • No commission changes a rating. If a partner stopped being useful, we’d drop it.

What this site is not

  • Not financial or investment advice. We don’t predict cryptocurrency prices or promise returns; stablecoins appear only as a short-lived dollar bridge.
  • Not a bank, issuer, money-services business, or tax adviser.
  • Not affiliated with OpenAI, Valve (Steam), Google, or Meta. Product names belong to their owners.
  • Not a legal loophole. We don’t help with sanctions violations, fraud, identity misuse, or deceiving a merchant’s risk checks.

Accuracy and your responsibility

We work hard to keep data current and dated, but card and merchant rules change, and availability differs by country. Always confirm current fees, terms, legality and tax obligations for your own situation before acting. Information here is provided in good faith, without warranty, and you use it at your own discretion.
